MUM'S BROWN RICE

mug of brown rice
clove or two of garlic
onion


Chop onion, mince garlic and fry gently in a saucepan. Rinse the rice and add to the pan when the onions are soft. Stir for a minute. Add 2 and a half mugs of cold water and bring to the boil. Grease a casserole dish (including the lid). Pour rice, onions and garlic into the casserole dish and cook for 45 minutes in the oven at mid-temperature.
